Aberdeen Cyrenians are celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2018.
We’re looking for a dynamic and inspired volunteer to play a key role in organising four major events throughout this milestone year as well as supporting our service user and community-led activities.
The Events Coordinator will work with staff on our organising committee who have to balance the ‘day job’ with planning this exciting year-long campaign. You’ll use your excellent people and organisational skills to oversee plans for the year and keep everyone on track to meet deadlines. You’ll have a great eye for detail to pick up on any oversights and the confidence to encourage and liaise with internal and external partners to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Based within our Summer Street Head Office, it is expected that an average of 8-10 hours per week during office hours will be required but this will vary throughout the year. Attendance at the monthly committee meetings is essential as is attending the four key events – so occasional evening or weekend working will be needed.
The role would suit someone looking to build their career in events or project management as well as those looking to pass on the benefit of their experience.
