Today marks a very poignant occasion for all of us currently at Aberdeen Cyrenians and all those who have been involved with or benefitted from our work over the years, as our Chief Executive, mentor and friend, Susan Montgomerie begins her well-earned retirement.
Susan has been with Aberdeen Cyrenians since the very beginning. Volunteering as a school girl at the soup kitchen established by students in the city’s Castlegate in 1968.
Returning to work with the organisation, she has played a crucial role in the delivery and development of the charity’s services as a support worker, manager, director and as our Chief Executive.
As we approach our 50th anniversary in 2018, all of us who have been involved with or benefited from Aberdeen Cyrenians over the years, would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Susan not just for all her hard work but for the kindness, generosity and energy she has put into supporting staff, volunteers and service users past and present.
Susan will be back to help us capture some of those memories during our anniversary next year but if you would like to share any messages or memories with Susan meantime, please email email@example.com and we’ll be sure to pass them on.
