Aberdeen Cyrenians are delighted to have been selected by local restaurant Boozy Cow to be one of their charity partners.
The Boozy Cow concept, developed by philanthropist Garreth Wood, has given away ALL its profits with almost half a million pounds being donated to date to good causes.
Aberdeen Cyrenians is one of five Aberdeen charities that will receive a share of Boozy Cow’s future profits, benefiting from the proceeds of the group’s Langstane Place venue.
Garreth said: “We work very hard throughout the year to make our units as profitable as possible and we remain committed to giving 100% of our profits back to the local communities by directly supporting charities in the local areas. I am very proud of my team who work tirelessly to achieve this, and would like to thank our loyal customers who help to make this happen.
“We are delighted to make further commitments to our charitable partners in this financial year even in a challenging Aberdeen economic climate. We are achieving steady growth and are expecting the profits to rise with the opening of new sites, starting with the addition of a Dundee site next month. We are very proud to have given away almost £500,000 in the first two years since launching The Boozy Cow.”
Welcoming the partnership, Aberdeen Cyrenians Chief Executive Susan Montgomerie said “We are thrilled to partner with Boozy Cow for the coming year. The support of local businesses plays an important role in allowing Aberdeen Cyrenians to deliver the services that our service users find so valuable. However, the value of this partnership extends beyond the monetary donation and we look forward to working with Garreth and his team throughout the coming year.”
